Little Carter Pt. 1 \\ Lifestyle Newborn \\ New Kent Children's Photographer

Welcome Little Carter

I can't help myself! That's right every time I get to photograph the cutest little wrinkles known as newborns I start itching with the Baby Fever. I guess there is one plus side to having a husband residing in Kuwait for long periods of time. Otherwise we might have 5 kids instead of just 2!

So how did I meet Amanda (Carter's Awesome Mommy!) A few weeks ago I cut and posted a Austin's Birth Story well would you know it Austin is Carter's (just a few months) older cousin. I got a message for Austin's Mommy to please contact her cousin Amanda, so long story short I got to meet Amanda, Brian, Hannah, Eric & Carter this afternoon, to get a lifestyle session of their beautiful family.

Take a look at a few of today's beautiful images that really make me want to have another sweet blessing...

His Stardom knows no bounds! I am excited to watch this beautiful family grow in the coming years!

Kaylee turns 5 Part 1 \\ Henry Clay Inn \\ Ashland Children's Photographer

Kaylee Turns 5!

So lets talk about the downside of being an outdoor natural light photographer in Virginia... WEATHER! Too Cold, Rain, & Even Winds have kept Kaylee and I from getting together but good thing Mother Nature opened the skye today for me to get a great session in with the beautiful Ms. Kaylee! That was only problem one to our session, Since we had 2 days of rain to deal with I changed our shoot location to a more concrete location (The Ashland Train Station) But would you know it as I show up to my locations 10-15 minutes before my sessions there was amtrack ripping up the tracks in Ashland and replacing them... REALLY?

No need to worry! I thought ahead not knowing the tracks were scheduled to be worked on... Maybe I should really start reading the local newspaper more! I so swear to start reading that next week. So I improvised and Kaylee, Stephanie, Rebecca & I went puddle jumping! That's right 4 beautiful ladies found some great mud puddles and went a jumping... well at least Kaylee did and I think the rest of use just got a lot of splashes coming out way... Totally Worth IT!

Catch a Sneak Peak into all the beauty & fun I got to work with this morning!

I must disclose No One knew what I had in mind other than I texted Stephanie at 8:30am and told her to bring a Change of close and Water Boots for Kaylee! Stephanie Responded with :

I really have amazing Clients!!

LEGO Expo 2013 \\ Mommy Moments

LEGOs Expo 2013

Richmond, VA
February 17, 2013

In the last 4 years I think I have spent at least a years salary on Legos! That's right the Hildebrandt House is over ran with Legos. So when Cody brought me the Newspaper all excited about the Lego Expo Ad 4 weeks ago I knew we would be there. Don't you know it Cody, Ace, & Me plus 600 of our fellow Lego Heads were packed into the Richmond Convention Center last Sunday!

Other than parking being a nightmare (It's downtown what could you do?) The show was organized fully to accommodate the youngest of Lego Heads to the full grown Lego Heads. With Lego piles larger than life, building centers, pre designed statues of the most popular children characters. It was one very big lego fest and full of fun for all ages. NOt to forget that Richmond was the first stop on the 7 stop tour of 2013 and all 6 sessions were 100% sold out! Who would have thought that Richmond would be the first recorded Lego Expo to sell out on 6 sessions! Way to go Richmonders, show those Expo Coordinators that we love our LEGOs. Here are a few of my favorite parts of the Expo (WARNING! these are all cell phone images. My personal Camera did not want to work with me Sunday.)

Yep that's right there is a tornado with cows and sheep swept up into it all made out of legos! I want one of these to display in my living room forever! (hehe)

The Expo was so much fun! I would suggest that if you live close or don't mind traveling to one of the other dates DO IT! well worth the drive and Ticket Expense.

Jamyson's Post Christmas Pt. 2 \\ Carillon War Memorial \\ Richmond's Children Photographer

Jamyson's Post Christmas Photos

Part 2

From the moment Jamyson saw my camera she wanted to play with it. I mean what kid wouldn't want to play with a $3000 camera? I know my boys will grab it as soon as they see it! Jamyson was full of smiles and even captured some great shots of mommy on the sidelines. I have to give Jamyson her props for being so sweet and workable in the crazy winds that met us at the Carillon War Memorial that day. I mean she was huddled on the ground at one moment between Mommy and me protecting her from that crazy mess, no worries that was not going to stop the sweet ms. Jamyson from being a start that day!

Everything turned out great with a big Thank You to close this Mini session out back in January.
